Volunteer Code of Conduct (signed annually)
Covers:
- Treat every person with dignity and respect
- Maintain appropriate physical and emotional boundaries
- Two-adult rule — never alone with a child in a private space
- No private 1:1 communication with under-18s (use parent-copied or group channels)
- No giving of gifts, money, or lifts (other than agreed transport)
- No alcohol on duty; no drugs ever
- No physical discipline; no shouting at or shaming of participants
- Photography only on Jesus Youth devices/accounts, never personal phones unless authorised
- Report any concern, however minor
- Whistleblowing protections — no detriment for raising a concern in good faith
