All Volunteers

Safeguarding responsibilities that apply to every Jesus Youth volunteer.

  • Operate within the Volunteer Code of Conduct
  • Complete recruitment process before deployment (§4)
  • Report any concern, however small, to the ESL at the event (or to the RSL/National DSL outside an event) within 24 hours — sooner if safety risk
  • Whistleblowing protections apply: no detriment for raising a concern in good faith
  • May go directly to National DSL or Lead Safeguarding Trustee if the concern involves their RSL or normal route
  • May go directly to statutory authorities (police, LADO) if the situation requires it — they do not need internal permission to do so
